Get the flu shot!

Updated: Apr 12

Did you know that your breastmilk provides immunity to your baby?

If your baby is 6 months and above talk to your pediatrician about the flu shot.

If your baby is younger, provide protection by getting everyone in your household vaccinated and continue to breastfeed to pass on antibodies and other immunological factors through your breastmilk.

If you get any respiratory illness, there is no need to stop Breastfeeding. Practice safe contact and continue to breastfeed. If you are too sick to breastfeed, protect your milk supply by pumping and resume Breastfeeding when able.

Check out the CDC website to get more information about the flu vaccine.
